Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join the Aldi team. This full-time position offers an average of 30-35 hours per week, with starting wages ranging from $18.50 to $24.50 per hour based on shift differentials. As a 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, relocating, sorting, loading, and unloading merchandise in a safe and efficient manner, while maintaining warehouse appearance standards and safety protocols. This role involves collaborating with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership to ensure effective communication, optimize processes, and achieve budgeted goals.
Responsibilities
- Select and receive incoming stock efficiently.
- Relocate merchandise according to product handling guidelines.
- Sort, organize, load, and unload merchandise strategically.
- Perform general cleaning and in-taking warehouse inventory counts.
- Cooperate and interact effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership.
- Provide input to warehouse management to improve processes.
- Inspect products for quality, safety, and sanitation issues.
- Operate equipment safely in performing essential job functions.
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Acts conscientiously, collaborates, demonstrates a positive attitude, drives for success, organizes and executes with efficiency.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Move merchandise, sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse.
- Work in varying temperatures and operate powered industrial equipment.
