Job Description

We are seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our team at ABF Freight, an ArcBest company. As an operations supervisor, you will play a crucial role in planning, supervising, and controlling resources to ensure the timely, damage-free, and safe loading/unloading of freight. You will be responsible for maintaining load plans, assigning job tasks to workers, providing training and performance feedback, fostering a safe working environment, and supporting our values-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for efficient freight handling.
• Maintain load plans and ensure safe vehicle operation.
• Assign job tasks and monitor worker performances.
• Provide training, feedback, and disciplinary recommendations.
• Ensure clean, safe working environment and safe handling of materials.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve department goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in service center or transportation field preferred.
• Supervisory experience and knowledge of proper freight handling techniques preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
