Assistant Retail Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Retail Manager to join our team at Aldi. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a vital role in managing store operations, supervising staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement action plans to enhance store operations and performance.
• Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members for mutual understanding and desired outcomes.
• Identify training opportunities to improve staff performance and growth.
• Lead by example, fostering teamwork and upholding company values.
• Stay informed about the competitive landscape and suggest adjustments to maintain our competitive edge.
• Participate in the recruitment and interviewing process for store personnel.
• Ensure compliance with inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies.
• Resolve operational customer concerns and maintain store equipment and cleanliness.
• Supervise day-to-day operations, escalate issues as needed, and ensure top-notch customer service.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.
• Proficiency in interpreting and applying company policies and procedures.
• Experience in budgeting, personnel costs, and expense management.
• Previous retail management experience preferred.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive retail experience.
• Prior management experience is a plus.
