Job Description

Jazz Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Associate Director, Clinical Data Innovation to lead the data and analytics platforms of the Global Clinical Development Operations (GCDO) department. This role entails overseeing SaaS solutions for data cleaning, medical reviews, and operational oversight, as well as management of clinical trial operational data in an enterprise business intelligence application. The Associate Director will provide leadership to a team responsible for managing, configuring, and programming on these platforms, contributing to the development and growth of the group within the GCDO structure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for clinical data platforms.
  • Optimize Jazz’s use of the platforms and implement change management strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and hire resources for the Clinical Data Innovation team.
  • Establish strong cross-functional relationships at a senior leadership level.
  • Interface with clinical data platform vendors.
  • Stay current with technology as applied to clinical trials.
  • Contribute to resolving complex strategic issues within the clinical development space.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of clinical trial study design and drug development processes.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and assess resource needs.
  • Strong communication skills and experience with clinical data visualization tools.
  • Proficiency in CDASH standards and clinical trial planning concepts.
  • Experience with clinical trial data collection systems and management of multiple projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of regulatory and technology standards.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 10 years in a clinical trial role with 3 years of management experience.
  • Experience with Tableau, AWS, T-SQL, and elluminate is a plus.
