Construction Cost Project Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a meticulous Construction Cost Project Analyst to join our National Real Estate Services team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for managing construction costs at a national level, collaborating with divisional real estate teams to evaluate construction bids. The ideal candidate should have expertise in construction documents and possess an educational background in construction, architecture, or engineering. Your primary focus will be ensuring that construction costs align with project scopes and regional cost trends.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Construction Managers to develop negotiation points with contractors.
• Collaborate with divisional leadership to determine appropriate scopes for bid clarifications and revised pricing.
• Provide divisions with current pricing data for consistent pricing structures.
• Prepare detailed bid analysis reports for divisional real estate teams to identify the most qualified and competitively priced bidders.
• Track pricing data and report to the National Real Estate Project Manager quarterly.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities during the review of construction documents and proposals.
• Research alternative materials and construction practices for cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Construction Estimating.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and RS Means software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
