Customer Service and Stock Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a Customer Service and Stock Specialist to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the cleanliness of the store. Enhance the customer shopping experience by providing exceptional service and collaborating with the Aldi team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the required Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves neatly, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management.
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and scanning errors.
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses.
• Follow all company policies, uphold security and confidentiality standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Stock merchandise and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelving.
• Engage in various physical activities including sitting, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and walking around the store.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficiently operate a cash register.
• Safely operate equipment like electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
• Perform cleaning duties to company standards.
• Communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
• Stay organized, detail-oriented, follow instructions, and multitask efficiently.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail experience is a plus.
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
