Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Executive Director, Late Development Team Lead in the field of Oncology to join our innovative team at Jazz Pharmaceuticals. As the Late Development Team Lead, you will play a vital role in leading the Late Development Team (LDT) and driving the strategic vision from proof of concept to product approval. This position requires a strong executive with exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, a deep understanding of drug development, and a proven track record of success in late-stage drug development projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee cross-functional Late Development Teams to execute product strategy from POC to approval.
- Develop and implement strategic vision for product development with functional teams.
- Engage in Long Range Planning processes and ensure alignment with company mission.
- Provide leadership to functional matrix teams, ensuring effective execution of product strategies.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders internally and externally to optimize product value and ensure successful regulatory filings.
- Mentor team members, promote team cohesiveness, and provide performance reviews.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with team members.
- Contribute to disease area assessments and cross-molecule initiatives.
Requirements
- 15+ years of global multi-disciplinary drug development experience in the pharma/biotech industry.
- Proven success in leading late-stage drug development programs.
- Experience in late-phase Solid Tumor Oncology drug development and regulatory submissions.
- Strong leadership skills in a strategic multi-functional environment.
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) required.
