Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc (NASDAQ: JAZZ) is seeking an Executive Director, Late Development Team Lead, Oncology to join their team. The role involves leading the Late Development Team in establishing and executing a global product strategy, incorporating scientific rationale, clinical and nonclinical development, regulatory aspects, and more. The Executive Director serves as the single point of accountability for the product, balancing deep science with speed and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional Late Development Team(s) from proof of concept to approval
  • Develop vision and strategy for products, collaborating with matrix teams
  • Identify global product development opportunities to optimize patient value
  • Participate in Long Range Plan process and develop Integrated Product Development Plans
  • Provide strategic guidance to functional matrix teams, mentor team members, and drive accountability
  • Collaborate with leaders to align on development strategy and escalate risks effectively
  • Contribute to disease area assessments and portfolio initiatives
  • Engage with external key stakeholders and participate in cross-functional team enhancement
  • Define and communicate a compelling vision and lead global teams effectively

Required Skills and Experience:

  • +15 years of global drug development experience in pharma/biotech industry
  • Prior experience in late-phase Solid Tumor Oncology drug development
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • Experience managing alliances and leading high priority projects
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to make timely decisions
  • Effective communicator and influencer with cross-cultural management skills
  • MD, PhD, or PharmD required
