Job Description

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Store Associate to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean store environment to ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers. By showcasing exceptional customer service and working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will contribute to enhancing the overall customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently as outlined for the role.
  • Process customer purchases, maintain general cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays neatly.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, assisting customers throughout their shopping journey.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly with store management.
  • Offer feedback to management on products, inventory, scanning accuracy, and other relevant issues.
  • Participate in store inventory counts following guidelines and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Adhere to cash policies to mitigate losses and comply with company procedures while safeguarding document security.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Physical Demands

  • Stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving, including lifting products weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Perform various physical tasks such as sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking around the store.
  • Operate equipment safely and properly, including electric/manual hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old to apply for this role at ALDI.
  • Demonstrate prompt and courteous customer service skills.
  • Efficiently and accurately operate a cash register.
  • Operate equipment following safety guidelines and perform general cleaning duties to maintain standards.
  • Understand and apply company policies and procedures effectively.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Maintain organization, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
  • Meet any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior retail work experience is advantageous.
  • Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
