Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Full Time Store Associate to join our team at Aldi. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's appearance. By collaborating with the Aldi team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and improving the shopping experience for our customers.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently.
- Handle customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
- Communicate effectively within the team and provide feedback to management.
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses.
- Follow company policies while maintaining document security and confidentiality.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Physical Demands
- Stock merchandise and place products on shelves weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Engage in various physical activities around the store.
- Ability to work with or without accommodation.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Proficient in delivering prompt and courteous customer service.
- Efficiently operate a cash register and store equipment.
- Ability to follow cleaning standards and company procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and can multitask effectively.
- Meet state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior retail experience is beneficial.
- Combination of education and experience equivalent is acceptable.
