Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Homewood Suites Glen Allen. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of the physical structure of the hotel, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform minor and routine maintenance activities such as painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Replace air-conditioner filters and maintain heating and cooling systems.
• Maintain equipment and record maintenance activities.
• Ensure the quality of the interior and exterior appearance of the hotel.
• Keep inventory of supplies and maintain guest rooms.
• Respond to and report any maintenance issues promptly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certification required.
• Bachelor's degree and/or extensive experience in a hotel or related field.
• 1-2 years of hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Technical skills in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
• Valid driver's license and approved driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long hours and perform physical tasks.
• Use hands, bend, reach, and lift objects up to 25 pounds.
• Good vision, hearing, and English language proficiency.
