Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Manager in Training to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will undergo comprehensive training in all aspects of store management, preparing you to lead your own store successfully. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staffing needs, and creating operational strategies while nurturing and developing the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily store activities to deliver top-notch customer service.
  • Implement the company's core values and strategies to foster teamwork among employees.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain store appearance, product quality, and proper signage.
  • Participate in the hiring process and manage weekly schedules.
  • Provide clear job expectations and guidance to ensure team success.
  • Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend advancements.
  • Manage store budgets and cash audits.
  • Monitor market trends and make recommendations for product improvements.
  • Ensure a safe in-store environment for all stakeholders.
  • Oversee merchandising and optimize stock levels.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Skilled in developing relationships and fostering open communication.
  • Proficient in interpreting and applying company policies.
  • Experience in managing budgets, personnel, and operational expenses.
  • Ability to operate a cash register and store equipment.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking efficiently.
  • Compliance with state and local regulations for alcohol sales.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of retail experience.
  • Combination of education and experience equivalent to minimum requirements.
  • Previous management experience is advantageous.
