Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Manager in Training to join ALDI and embark on a comprehensive training program to prepare for managing your own store. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will be involved in overseeing day-to-day store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staffing needs, and developing operational strategies while mentoring and leading a team to success.

Starting Wage

$27.50 per hour

Earning Potential Year 1

Up to $105,000 (inclusive of salary and bonus when applicable)

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ALDI's core competencies and professional skills.
  • Supervise team performance to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Communicate company values and foster teamwork.
  • Manage store signage, product quality, and customer concerns.
  • Participate in hiring and training activities.
  • Establish job expectations and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Monitor budget and expenses.
  • Provide a safe working environment.
  • Oversee merchandising and inventory management.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and leadership abilities.
  • Strong understanding of company policies and procedures.
  • Experience in budgeting and personnel management.
  • Proficient in operating store equipment and cash registers.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively.
  • Meets requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of 3 years retail experience. Prior management experience is a plus.

Travel

Flexibility to travel within divisional requirements during training.
