Job Description
Genesis Healthcare is currently seeking a skilled Nurse-LPN MDS Coordinator to join our team. As a vital part of our healthcare services, you will play a crucial role in the Resident Assessment Process by completing essential items on the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and Care Area Assessments (CAAs) to ensure optimal patient care and proper nursing center reimbursement.
Position Highlights
- Lead the interdisciplinary Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, ensuring compliance with guidelines for completion, computer encoding, and electronic State transmission of the MDS.
- Contribute to the development of personalized resident Care Plans, identifying resident needs and expected outcomes in adherence to Federal and State regulations.
- Provide training on clinical content and electronic completion of MDS items to new team members.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed LPN in good standing.
- Prior experience in healthcare facilities is essential.
- Familiarity with general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing practices as well as relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in Windows applications; AccuMed experience is a plus.
- Previous MDS Coordinator experience is preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
