• Obtain specimens following laboratory guidelines.

• Ensure proper specimen packaging and transport.
• Perform specimen accessioning.
• Demonstrate infection control practices and patient identification.

• Accountability for quality patient care.

• Collaborate with multiple departments within the hospital.
• Perform arterial puncture if required.
• Adhere to infection control practices and prompt specimen transport.
• Complete other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program or previous phlebotomy experience.
• Experience in a clinical setting.
