We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Shep 3 North - Alternative Care Unit at The University of Vermont Health Network. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new alternative care unit serving long-term care patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and leadership skills, with experience in charge nursing and long-term care.

Unit Description

Shep 3 North accommodates 18-20 long-term care patients awaiting placement, each with various diagnoses. The unit's environment resembles that of a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to long-term care patients.
• Demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills.
• Supervise LPNs and LNAs on the unit.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients.

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state.
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred.
• Experience in long-term care is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
