Retail Sales Associate

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining store cleanliness to provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Position Details

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
• Monitor inventory accuracy and report issues to management
• Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses
• Comply with company policies, ensuring document security and confidentiality
• Perform other assigned duties

Physical Demands

• Stock and organize merchandise, capable of lifting up to 45 pounds
• Engage in various physical activities around the store environment

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently
• Safely use store equipment and perform cleaning tasks
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team setting
• Stay organized, pay attention to detail, and multitask efficiently
• Meet local requirements for alcohol sales

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience is a plus
