Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join the ALDI team. As a key member of store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness. Your role will directly contribute to enhancing the overall customer shopping experience by providing exceptional service and collaborating effectively with the team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Deliver outstanding customer service, assisting shoppers during their visit.
• Communicate clearly with team members and store management.
• Provide feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues.
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure accurate stock monitoring.
• Adhere to cash policies, minimize losses, and uphold company procedures.
• Execute general cleaning duties according to standards.
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years.
• Proficient in customer service and cash register operation.
• Skilled in equipment operation and general cleaning tasks.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
• Detail-oriented, efficient, and able to multitask effectively.
• Meet state and local requirements for alcohol sales where applicable.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is advantageous.
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
