Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. As a key member of the store, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, handling cashier duties, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment to ensure an exceptional customer shopping experience.

Position Details

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P).
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers in their store experience.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management.
• Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues to management.
• Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures.
• Comply with established company policies while maintaining data security and confidentiality.
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to provide courteous customer service.
• Proficient in operating a cash register and store equipment.
• Experience with general cleaning duties and adherence to company standards.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask efficiently.
• Meet all state and local requirements for alcohol sales, if applicable.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail work experience is advantageous.
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
