Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join the ALDI team. As a key member of the store operations, you will be responsible for duties including merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. By providing exceptional customer service and working collaboratively with the team, you will enhance the overall shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
• Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
• Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
• Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures
• Follow company policies while maintaining document security and confidentiality
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Efficient operation of cash register and store equipment
• Capability to perform general cleaning tasks
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
• Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcohol

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous retail experience is a plus
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
