Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. As a vital member of the store, your responsibilities include merchandising, cash handling, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for our customers.

Position Details

• Job Type: Full-Time
• Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's core competencies and professional skills
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
• Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy
• Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures
• Follow company policies ensuring security and confidentiality
• Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous service
• Efficient cash register operation
• Competent equipment handling including hand jack and floor scrubber
• Adherence to cleaning standards and company policies
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team
• Organization, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities
• Compliance with state and local alcohol handling regulations

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous retail experience is advantageous
• A mix of education and experience equivalent to the role
