Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a key member of the store, you will be responsible for various tasks including merchandising, cashiering, and ensuring a clean and organized store environment. By collaborating with our team and providing outstanding customer service, you will contribute to an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management
• Provide feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
• Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses
• Comply with company policies and procedures while maintaining document security and confidentiality
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
• Efficient and accurate operation of a cash register
• Safe operation of equipment such as hand jacks and floor scrubbers
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow company standards
• Excellent communication skills
• Work effectively both independently and within a team
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow instructions
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior retail experience is a plus
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
