Job Description

As a Store Operations Assistant at Aldi, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the store. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment to provide customers with an exceptional shopping experience. You will collaborate with the ALDI team to uphold company standards and deliver top-notch customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills required for the role.
  • Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
  • Work cohesively with team members and effectively communicate with store management.
  • Report product issues, inventory discrepancies, and contribute to inventory management.
  • Follow company cash policies, procedures, and security guidelines.
  • Adhere to company policies while maintaining document security and confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment.
  • Capability to meet physical demands including stocking and lifting up to 45 pounds.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
  • Compliance with state and local requirements for alcohol sales, if applicable.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior retail experience is an advantage.
