Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

Join ALDI as a Store Operations Assistant and be a key player in maintaining our store's operations. In this role, you will merchandise and stock products, cashier, and ensure the store is clean and welcoming for our customers. Collaborate with the ALDI team to provide exceptional customer service and enhance the shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently.
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves neatly, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
• Give feedback on products, inventory, and store issues to management.
• Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash policies to minimize losses and uphold company procedures.
• Follow company policies while maintaining document security and confidentiality.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to offer prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient operation of a cash register.
• Safely operate equipment like a hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler.
• Perform general cleaning duties to company standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work well independently and within a team.
• Stay organized, focused on details, follow instructions, and multi-task efficiently.
• Meet all state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred.
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
