Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join the ALDI team. As a key member of the store staff, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's appearance. By providing exceptional customer service and collaborating with team members, you will contribute to enhancing the overall customer shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate professionalism and key competencies as outlined for the role.
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and assist shoppers effectively.
• Communicate clearly with team members and store management.
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and possible improvements.
• Assist with inventory counts and uphold cash policies and procedures.
• Adhere to company policies, ensuring security and confidentiality.
• Other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to provide prompt, courteous service and operate a cash register.
• Proficient in using equipment, such as hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
• Capable of maintaining cleanliness to company standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Adept at working both independently and in a team environment.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking efficiently.
• Compliance with state and local regulations for handling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail work experience is a plus.
