Job Description
As a Store Operations Assistant at Aldi, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the store's operational efficiency and enhancing the overall customer shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and ensuring the store's cleanliness.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ALDI Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills.
- Perform cashier duties, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with store management.
- Report product feedback, inventory discrepancies, and other issues to management.
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses.
- Follow company policies while ensuring security and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to provide courteous customer service and operate a cash register.
- Proficiency in using store equipment and performing cleaning tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking.
- Meet state and local requirements for alcohol handling and sales.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior retail experience is advantageous.
- Combination of education and experience will be considered.
