Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of in-store activities, including merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining a clean store environment. By collaborating with the ALDI team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the overall customer shopping experience and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ALDI M.A.P. (Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills) on a consistent basis.
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize product displays effectively.
• Provide outstanding customer service, assisting shoppers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues.
• Participate in inventory management and monitor accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures to minimize discrepancies.
• Follow company policies with a focus on security and confidentiality.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Proficiency in customer service and cash register operation.
• Ability to operate store equipment safely and efficiently.
• Experience in a retail environment is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively.
• Compliance with state and local regulations for alcohol sales if required.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is advantageous.
• Combination of education and work experience is considered.
