Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a key role in merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's appearance to provide a great shopping experience for our customers.

Position Details

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise
• Deliver exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
• Provide feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
• Conduct store inventory checks and ensure accuracy
• Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures
• Follow company policies ensuring security and confidentiality
• Perform other assigned duties

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to offer prompt and courteous customer service
• Efficiently operate a cash register and store equipment
• Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Capability to work independently and in a team setting
• Meet state and local requirements for the sale of alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience

• Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous retail experience is a plus
• A combination of education and relevant experience
