Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our ALDI team. As a vital member of our store operations, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to ensure a top-notch shopping experience for our customers. This full-time position offers an average of 32-40 hours per week and a starting wage of $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform cashiering duties, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers in their retail experience
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
• Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and operational matters to the management team
• Assist in store inventory checks and maintain inventory accuracy
• Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses
• Follow company policies and procedures while ensuring document security and confidentiality
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to stock merchandise, handle products of up to 45 pounds, and perform various physical tasks within the store environment. Candidates should be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, and carry items throughout the store.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Proficient in providing prompt and courteous customer service
• Skilled in operating a cash register and store equipment
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures effectively
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team setting
• Organized, detail-oriented, and efficient in multitasking
• Compliance with state and local regulations related to alcohol sales

Education and Experience
